Warranty Service

Although quality materials and workmanship have been used in creating your home, similar to an automobile, it requires care from the first day. Regular homeowner maintenance is essential to providing a quality home for a lifetime. While we strive to build a defect-free home, we are realistic enough to know that, with repeated use, an item in the home may fail to perform as it should. When this occurs, we will make necessary corrections so the item meets our warranty guidelines. In support of this commitment, Greene Homes provides you with a limited warranty with service checkpoints throughout you warranty period.

Mail, e-mail, or drop off your list of items at our office. All non-emergency items must be submitted in writing on the appropriate service list.

Like purchasing a new vehicle, when you purchase a new home, you are provided with a warranty.

There are several different stages to this seven year warranty.

PDI

Commonly referred to as the PDI, your pre-delivery inspection is the final inspection prior to taking possession of your home. This usually occurs within the final week before possession, between the hours of 9am-1pm Monday – Friday (excluding holidays). At the PDI, Greene Homes representatives will guide you (or your designate) through the inspection of your home. During this inspection you will be asked to identify any damaged, incomplete, or missing items, or anything which is not operating properly.

EMERGENCY

After you move into your home, there are a few different stages for warranty purposes. If at any time you have an emergency situation, you must contact our office by email or phone, as well as the appropriate emergency contact given to you in your homeowner’s manual. If you are contacting our office after hours, please leave a message. We check messages often, and will return your call as quickly as possible. After calling the emergency numbers, it is your responsibility to prevent as much secondary damage as possible.

Warranty

After your PDI, you will have three opportunities during the first year to request warranty work on your home.  We will accept a warranty request form in writing on the following timelines: 40 days after possession, 6 months after possession, 1 year anniversary.  This list must be submitted in writing to our office.

Please note that in order for any service items to be addressed we will require access to your home, with an adult present during regular business hours Monday to Friday.

After Hours Emergency Service

Our trade contractors or local utility companies provide emergency responses to the following conditions during your warranty period:

After hours, or on weekends or holidays: You may call the necessary trade contractor or utility company directly. Their phone numbers are listed on the Emergency Phone Numbers magnet you received at your PDI, as well as in your homeowner manual. Please allow 24 hours for emergency response.
